01Flagship landscapes
A protected forest and river context with separate evidence for habitat, soil, management and area. Motovun Forest has been protected as a special forest-vegetation reserve since 1964.
The valley is a planning and ecological context along the Mirna; its public boundary is not yet confirmed. PU 6060 covers areas along the Mirna River that are important for conserving species and habitats.

03Local context
A settlement above the Mirna Valley, connected to the surrounding landscape without equating the town with the forest. Motovun overlooks the Mirna River valley.
A settlement in the local Motovun Forest and Mirna Valley context with a documented historical truffle-trade association. The Municipality of Oprtalj describes Livade as a place in Motovun Forest and the Mirna Valley, associated with the Istrian white truffle.
A town above the Mirna Valley, with a strong local truffle identity and a separate register context. The City of Buzet describes its old town above the valley through which the Mirna flows.
